The City of White Salmon boasts that they have the only 14-bell Glockenspiel on the West Coast. They are located in the clock tower in the City Hall building.  They chime every hour from 8 am until 8 pm and often are programmed to play a variety of tunes.  Come visit to hear our National Anthem and other music played on special days.

The City Hall is across the street from the White Salmon Glassworks in downtown White Salmon.

We're still looking for professional artists that want to do their work here in the studio.  Email robin@whitesalmonglass.com or call my cell phone 541-308-5412.

History:

We bought the building with the idea of fixing it up and doing something fun with it while preserving its charm and character.  It was built in the early 1900's and has a rich history.  Most old timers around White Salmon remember when it was the Red & White grocery store, but it has been more than that.  Within its walls there have been many businesses.  A general store, an electrical retail sales store, a sporting-goods store, a butcher shop, even a bowling alley!

We have completely re-wired and re-plumbed the building, fireproofed the main floor, added a new stairway, fixed the roof, and replaced many of the windows. We painted a mural on the west side depicting fish blowing glass.

Come visit anytime and we'll show you around.  Our fires are always burning.
