My first encounter with the magic of glass happened when I was about 10 years old.  My parents took me to a craft show where I watched, transfixed as a glass artist used a torch to create glass figurines.  On the way home I told my parents, “That is what I am going to do when I grow up”.

At age thirteen no one would accept me in their classes, so I began creating small glass figures, working at home in the basement using my dad’s welding torch and glass rod.

Soon I was selling my torch work figures.

At fifteen I enrolled in a glass blowing class at a local Junior College.  The class was cancelled after only three quarters but that was enough to affirm my dedication to become a glass artist.
A high school graduation gift was all the equipment I needed to do torch work glass.

At 18 I had my own equipment and a business.

Since I was 8, I have dreamt about glass.  Even to this day, the ideas never stop coming.  My passion is to capture the fluidity of movement and instill personality in my glass sculptures.
